Abdiwahid Osman Haji

Abdiwahid Haji is an internationally recognized legal researcher, human rights activist, and historian in Somali representative democracy and history. He is a practicing lawyer with 41 years of experience who frequently argues in front of Somali Courts at every level and has been a member of the Somali Bar Association since June 1983. Abdiwahid founded Mogadishu Law Office (MLO) in 1985, where he continues to be managing partner. Since the 1980s, Abdiwahid has also been a distinguished lecturer of criminal and civil law at Somali National University, and of constitutional law at Capital University. He now serves as vice-dean of the Faculty of Law at Xamar University, where he established a continuing legal education (CLE) program for attorney training.
