Pathway to Leadership
SICLE’s leadership comes from within its membership. We believe that those who guide the institute should be practitioners who understand the challenges facing Somalia’s legal profession firsthand. The Fellow designation recognizes members who have demonstrated sustained commitment to SICLE’s mission through their participation, teaching, mentorship, or other contributions.
Fellows become eligible for nomination to SICLE’s Board of Directors. Board members serve fixed terms and are responsible for the institute’s strategic direction, curriculum oversight, and institutional partnerships. Each year, the Board selects new members from among the Fellows who have shown leadership ability and dedication to legal education in Somalia. This pathway ensures that SICLE remains accountable to the professionals it serves.
Institutional Membership
Law firms, government legal departments, courts, and organizations can register as institutional members. This allows your organization to coordinate training for staff members, receive consolidated updates about programs, and maintain a relationship with SICLE at the organizational level. Individuals within institutional members still register for their own personal membership to participate in courses and events.
